Enviro-Care™ Program

Many people think pests are just an annoyance and often forget that there are real health dangers associated with the presence of these pests in and around the home:

  • The EPA and NPMA concur that cockroaches and rodents are a leading trigger of asthma attacks, especially in children
  • Cockroaches spread 33 different kinds of bacteria and six kinds of parasitic worms
  • Mice defecate 70 times each day, spreading Hantavirus and Leptospirosis
  • Anaphylactic reactions to insect bites and stings kill 40-100 people annually. Most of the victims were not aware that they were allergic
  • Lyme disease is on the rise, with 38,000 new cases reported to the CDC in 2009
  • Estimates are that 10% of the world's food supply is lost to pests every year. Rats and mice alone eat enough to feed 200 million people
  • Rodents gnaw on utility pipes and wires, causing explosions, flooding, fires, and power shortages
